Default New Battery

Hey guys, well the battery in my dad's S10 died on him. He told me he wants to use the battery in my car (optima red top) and will buy me a brand new battery when summer rolls around and i start driving it again. Should i get the same battery or a different kind? I am starting underhood appearance and havent decided if iwant to stick to the Black/polished/red theme or go strictly black/polished. I also have a red STB note. Anyway, think i should get another red top and keep the black/red theme or get a different one that allows mroe options like a polished battery cover? What battery should i get? Thanks!

Talk to your Dad and see if he'll accept a brand new standard type battery. You'll get your expensive battery back and he'll get a brand-stinkin'-new battery.

Depends on how fat your wallet is.

If all you need is to start your car then what's the point of paying triple, other than it's cool and comes in colors? Since I have to pay attention to what things cost I tend to go for what works at the most reasonable price. I can't see that Optima batteries work three times better than regular. If they were guaranteed for 10-12 years I might think about it.
