Default Need Help!!

Im getting a 346 built with forged internals but im not sure what compression I should have it built to. Im running the STS turbo kit in my car.
What is the recommended compression to go with. Im not sure how much boost im planning on running but I want the car to able to run good boost.

John, IMO, I would do around 9:1. If you want a good street car and plan on running moderate boost, then that should be good. If you start to go too low I would worry about the car being a little sluggish out of boost. The last one we did had 9.3:1. It was VERY responsive out of boost and made crazy power in boost.
I'll have your request in the a.m. if I havent already missed the chance.

I went 8.5:1 on mine, but it's a 370 which makes up for the lower compression alittle bit. Since your staying 346, I agree with Billy...go 9:1.

If you're building it with a turbo in mind then go 8.5-8.8:1 That will allow you to run "good" boost along with a FMIC.
