Default LT's with dual e cutouts

i was thinking about gettin the qtp y pipe w/ dual e cutouts on it(with there headers of course) and putting the stock exhaust behind it so i can go from tame to loud w/ a flick of a switch. I was just wondering how low the cut outs hang. If anyone has pics that would be awesome. My car isnt lowered but i live around alot of back roads

I don't have any experience with QTPs Y, but i hear they have clearance issues to begin with. Sorry I can't help, just piping in.

You will loose power with the dual cutouts over a single in the I pipe. So stick with the single unless you want LOUD! (dual cutouts). The stock exhaust will calm it down but restrict the flow pretty good...so make sure you get a cuout on there.

Most pics of dual cutouts I have seen dont hang that low - unless you are lowered any I dont see why you would run into any clearance problems.

www.LS1Sounds.com has pics as well :hint:

i dont see how i would lose power w/ the dual cut outs, as long as i have the right tune in the car. it would be like running open headers

not enough backpressure....LSx motors like a little bit of backpressure

just run a single one in the I pipe..trust me, thats all you need

Yeah, I will admit that it was a bad idea. You almost need better gears for loss of velocity and scavenging with that type of setup.
