Is that a WS6 thing? My SS did not have one of these...

I think the guy is full of it. The only tranny cooler our cars have stock is the one inside of the radiator.

thats not a trans cooler, its the power stearing cooler, an option on the ws6 package.

I though the power steering cooler was the metal section in the upper radiator hose that has the tubes going to the power steering. It is round in shape, looks nothing like that.

you could be right, i do know that auction is not a stock trans cooler.

I have never seen a tranny cooler on an fbody from the factory. I have an 00' formula and the only optional cooler was for the power steering and is the tube like the one described above.

All Auto LS1's came with Tranny Coolers, though I'm not sure if that is one of them.

the only stock tranny cooler is in the radiator, its not an external unit like the picture..

It may have been removed from a car but I doubt GM installed it since it does not have threaded fittings.

I,m doing a M6 - 700R4 HD swap. Lazy do not want to shift all the time. Build these trans all the time. With the right parts they are strong. Do need info, part numbers for speedo parts.

I used a B&M 24K GVW cooler on my ss and I never had a problem...always stayed between 160 and 190 in city driving. IMO, auxillary trans coolers are a must for any automatic, stock or not.
