I have Borla Stingers and I love it, but it's not cheap... Maybe you can find a used exhaust system for sale on corvetteforum.com...

Look for a used set of Borla Stingers with the two tips... you should be able to find some pretty cheap.... I picked up a new set still in the box for $450 on ebay....

Check out the corvetteforum.com for used Borlas and Corsas. I have the Corsa Indy's with LT headers and HF cats and love em. They are nasty loud when you want and not too loud when cruising....you should be able to find a nice set for under $500.

If you are running stock manifolds and cats.. I would get the borla stinger 2 tip, and magnaflow x-pipe. The x-pipe gets rid of the motor boat sound close to idle and a lot of the popping on decel if you have a manual.. I have had a TON of different exhaust systems for the C5, and borla stingers are definitely my favorite!!! I was expecting it to be pretty loud by the way everyone talked, but it really isn't extremely loud. It has a nice tone to it. It was a lot more mellow than the SLP loudmouth system I had on one C5. I hated the drone of the loudmouth though. You will be happy with the Borla stinger, which you should be able to get for around $500 like the others said. If you have an extra $200 I would go ahead and purchase the magnaflow x-pipe.

Bullets or GHL sound the deepest and are the loudest, the stingers are right there too.
I have LG longtubes,no cats and B&B route 66 cat back, not even loud enough for me,some say it's loud, but it is a deep, fairly loud, really loud WOT,the headers bring out just a slight chop to the idle too.

Yah I got(look in sig) and it sounds mean as FUCCCCK. Its fun when your at a stop light and some kid is trying to show off by revving up(usually is with his girlfriend) and then you rev up yours. Everyone thats around has to pick up their jaw, and the kid usually never revs again. HAHA
