Default bad night last night

ok i changed the valvesprings out on the Z and put it all back together and one of my rocker arm bolts stripped out. what are my options that i can do. is helicoil an option and what size helicoil should i use?

Heli-coil is actually a good option. As far as size i cant say but i do know i have read a couple posts on this.

you can heli-coil it. it is really your only option other than taking off the head and welding it up and then retaping the hole.

I've heli-coiled a few of those and it is not that hard depending on where the location is on the car. If it is in the rear it might be hard to get the drill strait even with a 90*drill. And getting it strait as possible is a good thing LOL! I have the stuff to do it if you lived in the Houston area.

it needed to be done i only dynoed 350 to the wheels so im going to get that thing up to 400 by the summer hopefully. the helicoil went well exept the insert tool thing was made out of plastic and f-ed up so i ended putting it in with a pair of pliers now i just need to put it back together. oh and do the other side.
