Default Lower cooling fan T-stats

Is there anyway to lower the cooling fan activation temps other than a HPPIII or Predator I thought there was a t-stat that could be changed, but i cant seem to find one. Maybe Im thinking of my old LT1

You could do the "fan switch mod" but use an
electromechanical thermostat. There are writeups
out there on this, using the adjustable kind
you can find at Pep Boys etc. But if you do
have any kind of programmer it's easier to do
with settings.
