Default Fastchips Tuning? asap!!

I am going to send my computer to ed wright tomorrow to get reprogrammed and was wondering if anyone else hear has sent there computer to him? Also I have Autotap and was wondering if I should make any logs and if so what information should they contain (for example ltrims, o2 sensors, etc.)? I also have the flow sheet of my heads and the specs of my cam, should I send these also?

I have eds tuning and he does a great job. Just make sure you fill out one of his custom tuning forms with everything you have and what you need done. PRINT CLEARLY lol I had 6400 written down for my rev limit and he mistook the 4 for a 9 and now my rev limit is 6900rpm <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
ATAP logs will help get the tune down perfectly. He does need to know the specs of the cam and prolly like to know the flow capability of the heads, all this will get you a tune that is close to perfect. I don't care what people say about mail order tuning, with ed he gets it right 97% of the time. Once you get the PCM back get the car dynoed to check A/F(mine is flat as a board 11.7 FI app) and get some more ATAP logs. He will want to check those out to make sure everything is where it needs to be.

IMO, nobody can properly tune your car thru the mail.

Also, Ed Wright locks his PCM tuning,, you will be stuck with him and only him.

Find a tuner in your local area.

In the future, you may do another mod, then what do you do about your PCM tuning?

This is not a flame against Ed Wright,,, I'm sure he is a great tuner, but you need the whole car to do a proper tune. Does anyone agree with me on this???

I really don't want to have my computer locked. Is there anyway to get him where he won't do this or is there anywhere else I can send it where they don't lock it?

save a little more money and get EDIT. you can always change whatever you want, whenever you want without waiting for someone else to do it.

if you suddenly find that you need to adjust something, what are you going to do? take out the pcm, put it in the mail, WAIT for it to get to OK, WAIT for him to program it, WAIT for him to mail it, WAIT for it to get to you, then put it back in your car that you couldn't drive for the last two or so weeks.

Slammed,

Make the long drive to Lubbock and have Texas Speed and performance tune that car. Thats like ordering shoes through the mail. You don't know what they are like until you try them.
