Default HPPIII and stall converter?

I have a TCI3500 converter and the car won't shift to 3rd at WOT. Will the hypertech fix the problem and how should I set the shift points? What do other people with similar converters have their shift points set at?

I take your car is hitting the limiter from 2-3? Thats a common issue and you can fix it with HPP3 by lowering your 2-3mph shift points by 1 untill it fixes it.

Before I had EDIT, i raised my stock limiter to 6300(only 100above stock and no more) and lowered my 2-3 by 2mph. But like I said, just lower by 1 untill you get off the limiter.

if you want, get EDIT. Its a little more, but you can FIX anything! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Well I went all the way down to -12mph on the 2-3 shift and it didn't work. I forgot to mention that I also installed the TCI shift kit with the converter. Was this not so good of an idea? Does anyone else have a shift kit installed also?

ouch... i would think you wouldnt have to go any lower than -6 in the worse case. Something is slipping or isnt on there right maybe??

i dont know enough to help you out on the issue so hopefully someone can give you more help.

good luck!!!
