Default could my SLP mass air be be my cause of running so rich?

I had my car dynoed last friday and the A/F ratio is around 11.5 most of the way and at times went to 11. I made 314 RWHP and 329 RWTQ. I thought a mass airs purpose is to lean the car out some to make more power. The car does have much better power and throtte response with the SLP mass air.

Odds are the SLP MAf is only leaning the car out slightly. From what I have seen, the SLP MAF is pretty accurate, and doesn't "fool" your computer that much so fueling is pretty good.

The stock tune will place the a/f right around 11.9 at WOT. It is a little richer for some cars, and little leaner for others.

If you just have the SLP MAF and the stock tune, then I would say that your a/f sounds about right.

With your a/f as it is and with the stock timing, you have at least 15 HP to made with a good tune.

Good Luck,
Kevin
