Ok, we have a 383 stroker, that we did not build it was built by the previous owner. My question is, when kind of power can we expect out of it? Just on an average, i know there a lot of factors that add up to it.

Mild 383s may only have 425hp, fairly well built ones see 500, and wild ones can have up to 600 or more. I'd guess your "average" 383 probably has 450hp.

Thanks, we figured somewhere around 450, we are going to try to contact the builder to find out what exactly is has, because what i just realized i don't know what the compression ratio is.

Aluminum or iron heads? If they are iron you know it is between 9:1 and 10:1 and if they are aluminum you know they are probably 10:1 or more.

I think an average of 450HP/475TQ is prolly about right but all of it depends on too many factors once you give us some info on specs you'll get a better number I'm finishing up a pretty well built 383 right now and I'm prolly gonna be at 525HP/500TQ the tourque is gonna be down a little cause the motor is built more for top end it's going into a truck that has furniture quality oak in the bed so nothing is gettin hauled but ass so I went big ports and a tunnel ram style F.I. system.

My guess is 425/425 if it has something like an Edelbrock Performer top end package on it. I consider that very mild and would make for a great driver.
