Default Stripped TC to flexplate bolt

Why did GM ever use a hex bolt to hold the TC and flywheel together? I got two of the three out and the last one the head on the bolt stripped I was thinking I am gonna have to go buy a new flexplate and end up plasma cutting the head off the bolt. Any Ideas on how to get this basterd out? Thanks for the help

Go down to Sears and buy their new socket that removes stripped bolt heads. That or drill the head off the bolt. You should be able to fit a drill motor up where the starter was. You also could grind the head of the bolt off if you have a small angle grinder.

I had kinda the same problem, they were too tight to loose them up..

Took advice from forum members and chopped in half the head of the bolt with a dremel and rotated them with a chisel and a hammer..
