The Evans Pump/TStat are great for increased cooling - I've had these on the car for at least a year now and the temps are always steady - I got the 'JetHot' like powdercoating for that xtra bling on mine...

You are obviously an Evans dealer. Do you know what mods are necesary to run Evans NPG+ on an LT1 Fbody?

Mods? There are no mods needed to run there coolant you just need to flush out all the water mix coolant. They sell a prep fluid to do that. Evans actually designed the LT1 water pump for GM.

You can run whatever you want with there pump. There are just some added benifets to using the waterless race coolant and has been know to lower temps even more.

Nate-

Need to pick up some NPG+, Flushing Fluid, and Rad Cap - I've been running the Dexcool with the Evans pump - want to run the Evans Coolant starting this season when I install new rad.

You open for phone orders on Saturday (today)?

Got my NPG-R ordered today - if anyone is thinking about going with the Evan's coolant - NOW is definitely the time to get it before the price increase!

Nate tells me the NPG+ is good to -40 and the NPG-R is good to -10 but the R version has a higher boiling point so it works better as a cooling agent.

No problem!

Did you get an definitive answer back from Evans on how important it is to remove ALL traces of Dexcool from the system (i.e. just the block in my case)prior to NPG?

I know for a fact Evans says to pull the t-stat, but they have multiple cautions throughout their website about running a proper waterpump and radiator to "convert" to using their coolant.

Check out Evans site. Seems they designed a little bit more than the LT1 water pump .

On my setup I am already using the Evans Pump, T-Stat, and an SLP HD Rad - I just need to flush the block as best as possible of the Dexcool and add the NPG-R

Hey, I just got my pump the other day and it looks sweet. I am just going to run normal dex-cool. Is there anything I have to do to the pump or anything before I start using the dex-cool in it? Let me know if you can because I am going to put it on teh motor this weekend and want to be sure of everything.

Let me know.

Thanks.

Nothing needed to run Dexcool - just install pump, fill system and bleed properly. Most important factor in T/A cooling system is to ensure there is no trapped air in the cooling system.
