ordering headers within the next 2 weeks

ordering headers within the next 2 weeks I got my taxes done today,
I now know I can afford the headers,
I am leaning towards headers with cats,
there is no emissions testing where I am, but I want to keep it at least semi legal.
and I'm kind of afraid of it being too damn loud.
here's what I've found for best prices on each brand:
Dynatech $1275 from Texas Speed & Performance
SLP $1133 speed inc / new era; 1134 TByrn; and 1139 Texas speed
Kooks $1199 Speed Engineering / Texas Speed
SW $1199 speed inc; $1289 Exotic Performance Pluss; 1299 New era/speed eng/
these prices are all without checking the shipping
I have not dealt with any of these companys before,
first I want the best deal, next the best headers, and third I want good customer service (if I get it, I will come back)
anyone have any opinions on who or what I should go with?

It is my understanding that SLP = 
for headers.
I have QTPs which are virtually identical to Kooks and I think they rock.
Were fairly easy to install and seem to be extremely good quality. My vote is for the Kooks if QTP doesn't make them for your car.

F-body or GTO? Kooks are by far the best ones you list for an F-body!!! The only others I'd consider to be on the same level are QTPs & PPCs. Most of the sponsors you listed will treat you well. And running no cats will make your car cackle....not a nice sound of you have a loud cat-back.

Stainless Works here and you can see my numbers. They perform just as well but for $200 less. Everyone who's seen my headers has been impressed and said they thought they were Kooks. I would go with dynatech cats though. TJWong got mine for me, not sure what part number they are. I went with the Stainless Works Y and rt cats first but one of the RT cats fell apart. Replaced them with Dynatechs gained a few ponies.
The SW headers are also easier to install than the others from what I've read about other installs. Drivers side throws up into place(literaly), passenger side is a little more work. You wont go wrong with any of those 3 Kooks QTP and SW but SW is less expensive and performs just as well and looks just as nice and tucks up a little better. Try Stranos for SW pricing. When I bought mine SW was the least expensive of the 3 but from your listed prices it looks different now.

its for the gto,
no f body anymore
the biggest issue with slp for f bodys is that they hang too low,
I have heard no issues with this on the gto.
the slp;s are coated, that's a pluss, and they are a bit cheaper.
as far as qtp, couldn't find anything for the gto except the cut out.

I had a set of Kooks on my WS6, they were pretty amazing. So nice that its hard for me to buy cheaper set like Pacesetters when I know they will do about the same in my application. The Kooks were pretty damn sweet. IMHO I would stay away from anything SLP except for thier trim stuff. SLP has been making a fortune by making average parts and charging a crazy price because of thier name. The last thing they did that REALLY impressed me was the 92 Firehawk. Don't get me wrong all firehawks are cool but the 92 and the 97 LT4 were pretty sweet.

everyone raves over the Kooks
