Is that what is called the b solenoid ? I just got a code that said b solenoid had a problem. Is there a place that sells a performance one?

No the b solenoid is a shift solenoid located in the rear of the valve body. I've never heard of hp shift solenoids. I only use OE ones.

I had the same problem. The code read "shift solenoid circuit b stuck on"

Needless to say...my trans blew two weeks later and i got it "re-inforced" I'd get that taken care of asap. Good luck.

Question, do you builders replace the shift solenoids, epc solendoid, and the lock up solenoids when you rebuild a transmission?

TIA

I would replace all of the electronics on the valve body.

I just threw the shift solenoid code also. I run it at the track, spray it, and have a 4000 stall converter. It's fairly cheap and easy to replace. I did notice that the converter is locking up much better now too. Hope this helps. Oh, 67000 on the clock.

converter didn't want to lock up like normal. Didn't want to downshift.

It seems the 2001 and 2002 PCMs get confused with high RPM stall convertors. Delete/Remove the tests in the PCM for codes P0757 and P0751.
