Lock Up Solenoid Yeah i had a ses light at the end of last year, and was told that is why my tc wasn't locking up. Well I was told I had to replace the "lock up solenoid" but i can't seem to find one for a 4l60e, any advice would be nice on where to get this or If this can be the problem

would this be a part that would need replacing at about 54000 miles? Would it probably just need cleaned. Sorry to steal the thread, but I need some info. You know how much and how hard to changr this part? All info much appreciated

I had the same problem. The code read "shift solenoid circuit b stuck on"
Needless to say...my trans blew two weeks later and i got it "re-inforced" I'd get that taken care of asap. Good luck.

I just threw the shift solenoid code also. I run it at the track, spray it, and have a 4000 stall converter. It's fairly cheap and easy to replace. I did notice that the converter is locking up much better now too. Hope this helps. Oh, 67000 on the clock.
