I've read the ideal temp to allow the clutches the best grip is like 160-180 degrees.

From what I've seen and read anywhere between 160 and 190 is normal.

Just wait until summer gets here....you'll see higher temps in the summer. I'm seeing a high of 150 this time of year...but I'll see a high of 200 in the summer. I'll take it on the slightly cool side during the winter so I know I'm not burning her up during the summer.

Where did you put the temp sender? In the pressure port on the side of the case? Before the cooler?

Had a Vig 3200 in my old thirdgen w/ a cooler. In the summer, in traffic it got close to 200 but once I got moving it was always around 175. Colder in the winter.
