Default ls1 brake upgrade

I just ordered the brake upgrade from hawksthirdgen.com, how hard is it to actually do the install? I am getting new rotors and pads from precisionspeed.com for a good price but havent ever changed my brakes or rotors before. any advice? easy or should I get a local place to do it for me?

it is simple....... let me know if u need some help........ easiest way to do it is take off the wheel....... remove the 3 bolts from the ball joints and pop the whole hub assembly with rotors and calipers still attached...... remove the brake line and reinstall the ls1 parts........ the only thing that is not universal is the brackets that hold the abs line and the brake line.......

You will like this kit. Everything switches over on the car except your wheel hubs. you need them cause the LS1 ABS sensors are different. The LS1 spindles also allow future mods to the C5 13" Brakes.

i did mine recently and it was fairly easy cept knocking out that damn spindle..

All i ddi was take off the wheels, undo the brake lines and the bolts that hold in the spindle and remove and then place the new spindle and brakes. I also modified my brake lines from the LS1 to my LT1 and had to bend the bracket on the frame!

ok im a newb here, i got the package from hawksthirdgen the other day, now what are you guys talking about knocking out the spindle? doesnt that whole piece just take the place of the lt1 one? all I have to do is use the brake line bracket that they sent me right? they sent me the calipers, brake line bracket, and the entire assemble the wheel attaches to. im guessing that is the hub and spindle. do I use both or do I have to change something?
