send the heads off to get ported, drop a cam in, and if you have the money. Do what I did. 355 rebuild.

the only problem with boring and stroking is that its going to be my daily driver, and i want to be able to get the best gas mileage possible but i would also like to make some where around mid 3's to the wheels.

well damn that's an easy question to answer...you said you have a blown head gasket, with a sound bottom end....i would install a comp 230/242 114lsa cam, (cmotorsports: TS-230XL) get a set of long tube headers (pacesetter ceramic coated), have the heads rebuild and topped with some comp .600 lift springs (cmotorsports: CC-26918-16) buy a thinner head gasket to raise the compression (higher compression better performance and gas milage) and get it tuned by PCMforless, and your looking at a ~350rwhp car that will get ~25-26mpg on the highway....and i know it's a proven setup because i've did two other LT1's with this combo with those exact results. (one used jethot long tubes, and the other one had a slightly smaller N/A cam in it but with the pacesetter's) Keep your stock injectors, fuel pump, throttle body, intake manifold, heads, and bottom end and still get great numbers. its a low 12, high 11 sec with a good 60' time.

i dont want an obnoxiouse sounding car either being that its my daily driver but i want it to sound good, and i never drive on the highway cause i live in the city, and its an A4, so how good of gas mileage are we talking about in the city with an auto?

Just cam it. Use a CC305 or equivlant cam. It'll run great and give you an extra 40 rwhp over stock with supporting mods. You can port the heads if you got the cash. I'd at least do a valve job on them.

yeah im starting to realize that, does he just take your heads and port them and clean them up, and replace things that need to be replaced; depending on which package u want of course?
