Default flat spot in throttle

At about 2500-3500 rpm not sure there is a flat spot in the acceleration it is only momentary but it is still annoying. Does anyone have any ideas? Should I be expecting to replace the fuel pump? Is it pulling timing? Do I need to check the air fuel ratio on a dyno? Need help...
