Question New Lt's + Service Engine Soon light = Bad? Why is my light on?

I just got Edelbrock Victor Series LT's put on yesterday with high flow cats. And last night my service engine soon light came on. O2 sensors? Would a leak in the header/cat area cause the Service Engine light to come on? Or is there a problem somewhere else? Any ideas would help. Thanks.

What did you do with the back o2's? AIR, EGR? I'm sure it's just one of the normal codes that go right along with header installs.

The AIR and EGR are history. The back O2's are still there.

Figured it out. AIR system. So I re-routed the AIR hose that comes out of the air box and connected it to where one of the header hoses connected...hoping the the computer will read the back pressure. We'll see what happens. No service engine light yet.

When the computer turns on the air system it puts air into the exhaust and watches the o2 sensors to see it the a/f ratio changes. That light will come back on until you get it deleted

Duh, you take two electrically run systems off your car and expect to not throw a code. Don't worry about it until you want to get the car tuned.

I've been running my SES light since I installed my headers a couple months ago, runs fine. Save your money until you get a tune.

Why send it to Oklahoma just for some codes, look on your local f body board,(or your regional section on here) and see if someone has some tuning software, then have them delete the codes (probably going to be alot cheaper than a tune
