Default Speed Inc - LS7 Tuning Results

2006 Z06
Miles: Can't be more than a few hundred
Modifications:
LG Cutout Switch
Kooks Long Tube 1 7/8" Headers (off road X)
Speed Inc LS7 Dyno Tune via HP Tuners 2.0.18 (2.1.0 is current)

Bone stock off the showroom floor she did 457/433
Click Here For Dyno Graph <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Headers with out a tune she did 467/449
Click Here For Dyno Graph <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Headers, Dyno Tune, minus the air filter ... 491/463
(485/460 with air filter)
Click Here For Dyno Graph <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Peak Gain HP 34 RWHP / 30 FT LBS

All Numbers are Corrected < - > The 491 run was 498 uncorrected. The runs un-tuned runs were around 11.5 A/F but the wideband was cutting in and out.

We were pleased with the results after the tuning, I am sure it is not some record setting car. I do believe these few modifications are a cost effective way to get some more power out of the new Z06's without doing any intrusive modifications.

If you have questions regarding this setup you can reach us via email at sales@ls1speed.com or call us toll free at 866-LS1-SPEED.

Thanks!

Jon

way to go speed inc! you guys rock. 485rwhp(assuming the owner is going to running the filter while driving around town) from a few mods and a tune
Wonder what a better cam would get? The stock LS7 cam is kinda mild isnt it??

Adding a simple Dry nitrous system and leaving the stock tune alone would have been very interesting

Didn't gain a lot with the headers until you tuned it. Makes me wonder if the stock manifolds are that good and the stock tune just sucks for max power. Or it could be that the headers will only work well with better tuning. Somebody needs to see how much power GM left on the table with just the tuning. Congrats on the strong numbers.

It's been a few months since we took them off but I do remember the tech's in the back mentioning that they looked pretty nice. I guess the only way we’ll know how much headers are worth is to tune a bone stock one.

There are a few in the area and we'll see what we can do. The cutout switch with the headers and off road X sound awesome. We did not have tuning software when we did the headers on this car but if/when Tom gets his Z06 we would take it step by step like we did with his last Z06 and his C6 and post the info.

This sounds good. 30+rwhp from tuning alone.
