Default Help me Troubleshoot Spec Problem

Well guys i was wondering what you guys think could be wrong with my car? I have a spec stage 3 clutch. Lately it seems the clutch doesnt engage until the pedal is almost all the way up. Does this mean the clutch is done? Also it just doesnt seem like it is putting down any power. Ive never had a slipping clutch so im not sure what im looking for. So if it ends up being my clutch is shot im going to get LS7 Clutch and LS2 flywheel. thanks for the help guys

well try this get going about 40mph and put it in 6th gear and floor it, if it starts slipping then more than likely your clutch is wearin out, you could try other gears also like going 20mph in 4th and floor it and so on. if it doesn't slip just try re bleeding the system. hope that helps some. i am in the middle of a swap myself from a spec 3 and it held great lots of street miles and 1/4 blasts and 1/8th mile runs. i had lots of 11.5 passes and best time of 10.98 on my spec 3 and it finally let go after about 15000-20000 street miles and lots of nitrous passes.

Id say start by bleeding/flushing the hydraulics system, and do the test bird recommended. If its slipping, youll know. If it is, start looking into a slave, then master cylinder. How many miles are on everything?

Was that all regular street driving or lots of track visits. The clutch could be close to the end.
I usually would figure out my discs where worn w/ my shift light or data logging. I know what RPM I went thru the traps at. If it was powering thru it would show up that way. I have had quite a few do just that, slip at full power high RPM also.

Id say bleed system. It doesnt sound like the clutch is going bad...
