Re: 130 mph /service engine soon ?
hmmm thats strange . the car has ubder 15k miles and it seems to be running fine . what could cause it to misfire at high speeds only? can that be the only reason the service engine soon light blinks ? <img border="0" alt="[bang head]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_banghead.gif" />

if u don't find any damage with the plugs or wires check ur fuel filter, could be dirty. A dirty filter can and sometimes will cause misfires

While playing with my Predator I found that
high spark advance without some power enrichment
was giving me KR on deceleration. If you were
decelerating for a long while, maybe you logged
enough knocks to make the computer think you
had a problem. It might even go so far as to put
you into the "bad gas" program.
Deceleration is the highest spark advance region.
Max vacuum, min load / throttle. The IAC's control
of total airflow run-down is still providing some
significant cylinder charge and I bet you just
have too much spark for the fuel provided to that
set of conditions.

Re: 130 mph /service engine soon ?
+10% spark, +1% PE, I have no exhaust mods
(factory/SLP +10HP CME) but have SLP "OEM"
Blackwing lid, SLP 85mm MAF and home-ported
TB. 13.6 sec 1/4 with negative weight
reduction (50lb of video gear in the trunk).
I haven't taken the PE any further than this,
1% was enough to shut up KR but I'd like to
see how far it goes before it stops netting
further improvement.
