Road racing?
I'm sure this has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything when searching. Is there a track around Dallas or Houston where you can road race your car? I know my car's not built for the twisties, but I think it would be fun just to see what she would do. If there is such a track, what would it cost to go, and what are the prerequisites?
TIA.
TIA.

It is my understanding that since this is structured as "driver's education" (no clock and you're not racing against other drivers) that your insurance will still cover your car....but if this is a concern you'll want to check into it first.

I instruct for both these schools and have venues where you can drive your car.
www.texasdrivingexperience.com
www.apexdrivingacademy.com
I race a '96 Firebird in this series
www.camaromustangchallenge.com with this sanctioning body www.nasatx.com
NASA offers a nice HPDE (High Performance Driver's Education) event to help you learn the track, the car and yourself.
www.thedriversedge.net is a very well run HPDE organization.
Motorsports Club at texas World Speedway is also a nice venue.
So, to answer your original question ... yes there are tons of oppurtunities to get your car out on the track and see if all that GT4 experience really helped.
