could u post pics?
or describe the quality and finish (the ones im lookin at are all polished)
(after reading some negative feedbacks about the items not being whats pictured and the quality sucking im allitle worried)

heres the 3 im lookin at(anyone have these?)

Burning large amounts of oil can casue engine knocking which robs HP.

removes the oil from the line only alowing the air to enter the intake, not the oil too.

heres a catch can in its simplist form. can be made with hose and a can

you connect the pcv hose off the valve cover to the inlet of the catch can. the oil vapor and/or oil drops settle and accumulate in the catch can. the "clean" air then goes out the catch can into the pcv and into the intake. The can just "catches" the oil before it gets sucked into the intake through the pcv

UPDATE: I just received mine today - it's pretty much what you expect for the price...cardboard gaskets, that oil level checker is just a fairly rigid plastic hose and I also received a carbon fiber one instead of one of the bling ones...i was thinking about just painting it black anyway so no big deal...just have to take the gaskets off and use some good ole RTV

the really expensive ones advertise a oil trap, filter, etc..do you think that stuff is really necessary or would this work just fine?

if you glue a small hose on the inside of the inlet to route the air to the bottom of the can and throw some steel wool in there, it'll work as good as any
