back pressure?
i have the slp lm exhaust and i'm looking to get pacesetter lt's and ory. i know ls1's need a certain amount of back pressure and was wondering if i was going to get enough with the lt's and ory. if any of you guys have this setup let me know how it worked for you, thanks.

well i'm not totally concerned with being too loud. i don't ever have people in my car. my only concern is performance. i was just worried about if i needed enought back pressure

Personally, just get a good catted Y pipe. It shouldn't really affect performance, will make it sound better as well as better db level and will keep you legal, so it'll be easy to pass emissions.
Also I'd recommend reading the sticky's in this forum, it will give you an insight into exhaust systems. From a performance stand point back pressure is always bad.

Here is mine. Check it out. I also feel the LS1 runs better with a little back pressure...high flow cats would be plenty. As far as it being too loud There is no such thing!

And besides the Jaguar V12 was aluminium and it was designed in the 50's, also the Rover V8 which is derived from the Buick 215ci. Buick ceased production in the 50's and it was aluminium but TVR's don't suffer rasp.

Would you mind expanding on 'what' setups [u]do[/]u and don't benefit from a mid pipe and explaining what the differences are between them, cheers
