I tried searching... Turbo break-in???
What's up...
Here's my question:
I know my installer did some heat cycles with the motor to break all the parts in. Also, 250 miles were put on the new clutch, rear end, and suspension components with the kit installed. The oil was changed a couple of times...
Then, I got my car back. Now, I've driven about 500 miles since after I got my car back, with some serious abuse I might add, and I'm pleased as to how my stock LS1 is holding up. 7.5 to 8 psi on some hard runs, and the engine and turbo are running smoothly. As a matter of fact, it seems sometimes like my turbo is spooling quicker than when I first got it... It loves to spool all the time!
Anyhow, though that may be in my head, I feel like my car may still be being broken in, and I'm thinking I should do one more oil change before I really start waiting 1k-2k miles for standard intervals. Not only that, but I want to put in a really good oil to continue using. Would it be a good idea to change it now? Also, what kind of oil do I use? I don't know if it matters, but before the install I always used Castrol Syntec full synthetic 5w-30. If I change it now, which one do I use for good? Thanks,

I would too.
Then, it'll be my turn to give YOU a hard time for flaunting your forged 76GTS set-up among us poorer, stock internals people...
