The siganl is out of range, over 1.0mv. The light never moves, just stays pegged rich.

#69 is for the 99s, my 98 is supposed to be #47 on the blue connector.

#47 is prpl/white and that is the one I have spilced. But there is a high ( purple ) and low (tan) signal wire, I wonder which one is the right one.

sorry about that,i missed the "98"
you want the purple/white wire the "signal wire"
the tan "low wire" is the voltage output
approx. 5V.
is your pcm going in to closed loop,
i know when you first start your car it is in
open loop and it will do that it is showing full rich untill it warms up and goes into closed loop

how is your gauge hooked up,some times if it is not hooked up to a good ground it could do that
good luck!

Default 02 signal wire

I am hooking an air/fuel gauge and I need to know the correct wite to splice for the O2 sensor signal. I tried splicing the purple/white wire but it reads to high, should I splice the tan/white wire? I figure that one will read to low. What is the correct wire for a 98?

wire that I spliced

Thanks,
Justin

Qball thanks I got it fixed. I am almost embaressed to say what it was. I was origianlly going to splice the wire right by the o2sensor but ended up splicing on the harness b/c it was easier. Forgot to plug the 02 back in.
