Well the story goes like this. I took the intake off to have some CryogeNX added and found some things I did not like. Alot of VERY Fine debree 99% aluminum.

Every since we started the car the first time there has been a strange noise. never have pinned it down. SO I figure I see this it is all connected. Wrong

The more I tear the engine down the less I see. Valve train is dead on and good. Very little debree in the heads...and that is where the oil goes so there should be more there. The oil has alot of suspeneded Aluminum and very little in the filter and yet the valley is full!

I figure it has to be the front cover and the timing chain touching. So I tear the whole front off the engine. Nope nadda zip! DAMN! Every thing is perfect

So I figure WTF I supported the Engine and yanked the K-Member and pulled the pan. Only thing I found in the pan was the number one and two rod still hitting the pan. Well there is the noise I was looking for but not the metal maker. Yanked a few bearings and they all look perfect. No signed of any thing out of the ordinary.

So Jim is Cruising CZ28.com and finds a thread on how the AFR rev kit has been known to make metal no matter what is done. Yank the rev kit and sure as crap it is the metal maker!

So at this point every thing is off the engine except the heads and headers.

Now the Engine is going back together with a new oil pump and updated intake. Might as well toss on the new K-Member while I am there.

Next there is the on going 12 bolt debate. So Dan wanted to play a little with the rear end. problem is the car is not moving. Saturday Mark and I yanked the 12 bolt in about an hour

So there it is. not much to tell really....beside a bunch of replacement parts that are coming

Tryin' to shed some weight are we? Nice K-member,,,, PA, BMR? I have a suggestion on how to lose 100 more pounds but you probably don't want to hear it lol... BTW, nice temporary engine cradle you got going on there.

Ellis' car forfeited the "jackstand king" award once it made it's 1/4 mi. pass this year. I'm now the holder of that crown I think.

Pictures like that make baby Jesus want to cry.

BTW, I am in awe of your thoroughness and attention to detail. If I was not already convinced that you are THE guy to take a car to, I would be now.
