Default Dart Pro LS1 205 or 225cc???

I am having a 347 built using a T76GTS turbo. My question is, which heads will be better? The 205cc or 225cc Darts? I am sticking with the Darts because I can get a really good price on them.

I will be using the Edelbrock Victor Jr intake with elbow and a 90mm NW throttlebody.. Car is an automatic and will be using the stock PCM.

Last question, how do you choose the cam?

Thanks

Default 347 with T76 and Dart 225's. What cam??

How do I choose which cam will best suit my application. Is there a "cam guru" out there that has tested a bunch and can tell me which is the best. I am not a believer in just throwing an off the shelf cam in there and expecting peak performance. Here's the combo...

Forged 9.0:1 347 LS1
Single T76GTS Garret turbo kit with custom FMIC, Meth injection
Dart Pro LS1 225cc heads with 2.055 1.60 valves
Edelbrock Victor Jr. LS1 intake port matched to heads
Nick Williams throttlebody with fabbed aluminum elbow
Automatic trans
stock gear
stock tires size
A/C, street car, looking for peak power

Thanks for the info in advance

I've been asking this question for a loooong time. The short answer is "no". The ones who have aren't talking. Even the coveted Cam Motion hasn't dyno tested a bunch of turbo cams.

looking at the advertised flow numbers unless you plan on going with a cam with around a .600 lift (not sure youd need to with FI) id stay with the 205's

for the cam i'd just pick one for your drivability requirements
what are you planning to rev it to? how do you want idle to be?

are you planning on opening up the chambers at all?
i would love then if they also came in a 72cc chamber.
i still might get me a set to replace my 6.0's and open up the champer, looking at prices its hard to beat.

Alot of high HP turbo guys that drive on the street use the 02 and up LS6 cam.

Great spool compared to bigger cams and great power under the curve with stock like driveability.

If it is a street car I would look at something like that. No need to go superhuge on cams in FI apps imo.

Talk to MightyMouse he has a high HP street car. (800RWHP plus)

Cheers,
Chris

I'd look at something like the Speed Inc. cam (225/225) or a reverse split but look at 230 intake/ and like 224 exhaust, something like that. Too much exhaust duration will just add to backpressure, especially with a single turbo.

I bought Mightymouse's old cam (one of them), 237/231. And some folks think it might be too big. I guess we'll see. I hope to make 1100rwhp with C16 and 800rwhp with 93.

The norm for turbo cams is between -8 and 2 degrees of overlap at .050" duration. However there are a lot of exceptions to this rule depending on application.
