Default Noisy Torque Converter

Just installed a 2800 stall TC and it makes a noise when locking up (40-50mph and 4th gear). Gets even noiser if going up a hill during lockup.

Anyone else had this condition? Been told it's caused by pulse width modulation.

Any suggestions for a fix?

Thanks

sometimes when i'm at like 3/4 throttle...which is like almost 4k on the tach, the converter will decide to lock up in overdrive @ like 50 mph, which is like 1600 rpm or something...and it will squeal, i assume this is just the lock-up clutch slipping. is this what you're hearing?

yes, i know, i had the opportunity to adjust the lock-up procedure, but turned it down. i will definately look into it next time my car is getting tuned. but for the time being i just rip it to ~45 and let off the gas, so when it locks up the rpms are hardly affected.
