i work in commercial real estate repairs and maintenance. we have used this type of system for coffee pots, water and soda machines with good luck. you will get less pressure drop when additional loads are turned on and easier to service with all the cut off's in one spot. I have had one mis hap with tubing running through a ceiling and sitting on a light fixture melted a hole in one. in a house i think it would be good; even better with flexible copper tubing instead of plastic but it will co$t alot more. good luck

it will get the hot water there faster. in our house the whole hotwater side is in one big loop with a pump on it. this constantly circulating the hot water. no matter were you are in the house it takes maybe 5 sec to have hot water. but from what i have heard there are good benifits in going with the manifold setup.
