When I did my headers I looked at the same thing but with the stock cats (which are nice and small and can be made to 3 inch diameter). Even with those you are faced with an exhaust system that is pretty low. Probably get by with it if you are not lowered. I finally gave up and went without. I've never had any bad smells with mine after the first few days. Get it tuned and give it some time.

You can cut the little slip-fit parts off of the end of the cats which makes them shorter, then you can just sorta butt-weld the pipe to the cats to fit them into tigher spaces.

The exhaust shop that put my cats in had to do this. Check out the link in my sig if you want to see some pics of it.

The driverside cat had to be tilted a bit to fit into the spot, but it works. Passenger side should be no problem, driverside is always the bastard.

I tried to weld in SLP cats and they looked like a nightmare. Are the Magnaflows smaller? Random Techs? This is a great question BTW...

Good luck, there's no damn room on the drivers side!

You might be better off selling it for a catted Y. Sounds like it is going to be a headache.
