You can remove the egr from the intake and put a block off plate in, you will also have to put a plate on the exhaust mainifold. Same thing with the air system, take the pump out and follow the air lines to the exhaust mainifolds remove and block off. You can get those systems deleted out of your computer so you dont have the check engine light.

Conan pretty much hit the nail on the head. But here is a step by step removal for EGR.

http://installuniversity.com/install...sity/index.htm

As far as the AIR system. You are going to need to take the lines off of the headers. Then remove the big tubing that goes around the back of the engine bay. Now go and follow it down into it's little hole. Go under the car and take out the 5 or so 10mm bolts and flip down the access panel (black plastic) Then just go to work and take the air pump out. I don't remember what all I took out or how, I just took the stuff out.

Oh and what does everyone do with the left over wires? Just leave them hanging?

Yes, you can buy block off plates. There's an AIR/EGR removal article at http://www.ls1camaro.net/sections.ph...ticle&artid=70

Texas speed can get them, also I think speed inc. sells them. There is no power advantage, it cleans the clutter out of the engine bay, and saves some weight. When you remove it all you'll be amazed how much more working room you have.

EGR and Air removal are easy. You just need the block off plates. You can get them from ebay. The ticking could be the air tube. you could replace the gasket. or it could be the ideler pully.

I think removing the ERG might actually cost you MPG.

You will need 2 plates for the air,on the exhaust mainifolds. 1 plate for the egr on the exhaust mainifold. For the intake mainifold you will need a pulg or a plate.
