im kinda lost with this egr and air removal...i dont have lt's yet and i wanted 2 know if you could just remove the egr or the air..im sure if u could it would throw the ses light...its just that i have this ticking sound and im pretty sure its coming from either the egr valve or the air pipe and its driving me insane ...any help on clearing all this up for me would be appreciated.

You can remove the egr from the intake and put a block off plate in, you will also have to put a plate on the exhaust mainifold. Same thing with the air system, take the pump out and follow the air lines to the exhaust mainifolds remove and block off. You can get those systems deleted out of your computer so you dont have the check engine light.

Conan pretty much hit the nail on the head. But here is a step by step removal for EGR.
http://installuniversity.com/install...sity/index.htm
As far as the AIR system. You are going to need to take the lines off of the headers. Then remove the big tubing that goes around the back of the engine bay. Now go and follow it down into it's little hole. Go under the car and take out the 5 or so 10mm bolts and flip down the access panel (black plastic) Then just go to work and take the air pump out. I don't remember what all I took out or how, I just took the stuff out.
Oh and what does everyone do with the left over wires? Just leave them hanging?

Yes, you can buy block off plates. There's an AIR/EGR removal article at http://www.ls1camaro.net/sections.ph...ticle&artid=70

EGR and Air removal are easy. You just need the block off plates. You can get them from ebay. The ticking could be the air tube. you could replace the gasket. or it could be the ideler pully.
