Default My gas pedal fell off....

...guess I hit it too hard!!

The pedal itself detached from the lever arm. Now it won't go back on either- its just two pieces as far as I can tell, the pedal and the spring mechanism. But it won't wrap around the lever enough to hold it on, it just falls off as soon as I put pressure on it.

Any suggestions?

Dang that sucks.

Should have had some kind of pin to stop that. Do you have a pic so I know 100% what is wrong?

There is a pin and spring behind the pedal that hold it onto the lever. But the pin only appears to have a head on one side of it- so the side without a flathead just backs itself out slowly time and time again. Anyone have a picture of theirs? Does it come with a head on both sides, and mine broke it some way?

Thanks.

You know, I noticed the other day how if you push it all the way down, it does feels like it could easily snap. I never thought it actually could though. Good luck with the fix!

To be fair, how many 20 year old cars aren't falling apart? Hell, we are doing much better than the likes of BMW, VW, jaguar/land rover, etc.
