Default What Top End On 410 Stroker

Ok guys I need some advice. I bought a 410 ci LT1 awhile back and I finally have the money to finish it, the shortblock has eagle crand, lunati rods, diamond flat top pistons canton oil pan. Well I need some advice on finishing it, what heads? I was prolly going with AFRs but which ones, and my biggest question is what intake and what cam. It will be a street car and it already has a 150 shot on it. If any of you can help and maybe get me some links on where to buy these I would appreciate it. Also I'm looking for a good builder to do the work around St. Louis.

What do you want to do with it? Obviously you want to drag race with the th400 and the rest of your sig.

Why aren't you running the 15° stuff anymore?

Is this gonna be a street strip car? Go with the LT4 setup (intake & heads). I guess you can go with the 215CC raise runner from AFR

You know there is a little difference between AFR raised runners and LT4 heads

Go with Lloyd (Nighttrain) heads and Bret's (SStrokerAce) cam..

Lloyd does great work. He did my heads Brett Helped with the over all specing of the Engine

I would not waste my time on LT4s. they will not flow enough to get the most out of that combo.

The car is going to be a street strip car. I'm not running the 15's anymore or the solid roller simply because of the streetability factor. It looks like I'm going to go with some Larry Meaux ported AFR 210s and a super vic intake that is already drilled for EFI. What do you guys think about cam specs, def. hydraulic for street reasons but pretty aggresive.

My car is daily street car (Road Racing). My heads are 210cc AFR competition. My camshaft is 240/246dur. 113lsa (pretty agressive). In these days my car will be ready and I hope I will see 430-440rwhp ..

I was thinking about converting some SBC heads but I found someone who already has some Larry Meaux heads in shop along with the super vic intake, so it will be easier and cheaper. The suspension has pretty much been gone through, weld in subframes, torque arm, panhard, shocks, driveshaft safty loop, 8 point cage. Black97, what kinda shortblock are you running, I was hoping to get some more power than that with this 410 I hope. What kinda numbers have you guys seen with a setup like this?

Its a 383cid (Lunati Crank, Oliver Rods, Diamond Pistons) built by Thunder Racing..

If you want to get more power you should ported your Heads Lloyd and get ~300+ CFM from your heads. My heads came from AFR (AFR's porting) 282CFM. Its just related to your heads & cam choice.. I think you can see max 450 rwhp with a street friendly setup. 410cid will not help your HP, but offcourse your torque curve will be high

BTW: I just saw you got automatic transmission. So you are lucky if you can see 450rwhp.

I would be pretty happy with around 450, but like you said the torque should be amazing, I'll just have to spray it a little more, lol.
