Default Ok. Give me some feedback/opinions on headers

Ok. I don't know what I want to go with. I currently drive the car 2-3 times a week. The rest of the time, the car sit's in the garage. My current mods are listed in my sig. Eventually I would like to go with a different set of heads and would like to add a dry kit in the next couple of months. Possibly later down the road I would like to go with a bigger motor. I am also adding 3" TD's (don't knw which muffler's yet) with a kooks x-pipe. This is currently what I am looking at:
1. Coated Pacesetter
2. Edelbrock (1-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 3-1/2" collector, mild steel)
3. Kooks (1 3/4" x 3" - Stainless)
4. Kooks (1 3/4" x 1 7/8" x 3 1/2" - Stainless)
5. Kooks (1 7/8" x 3" - Stainless)

I have been talking with Brian at RPM and he has been very helpfull with advice and answering my question. I just can't make up my mind on what exactly I want to do. What do you guy's think? Is it really worth the extra $300-$400 for the kooks? I know everyone says you get what you pay for, and if you buy the kooks you will never have to buy another set of headers again. If I were to choose the pacesetter's, over time will they discolor? rust? I'm pretty sure I will be keeping the car for a long time. I have had my IROC for 8 years now. Let's hear some feedback.

its all how your pocketbook will like it. the kooks, supermax will make more power. gains from 2-5 hp over the hookers or pacesetters from what i am told. they will also last longer. for my car i didnt have much of choice but if you buy the kooks you will not be upset.

Thumbs up

4. Kooks (1 3/4" x 1 7/8" x 3 1/2" - Stainless) pricey but worth it.

I have Pacesetters and have no problems with them. For the amount I could have spent on Kook's, I got headers, a new catted y-pipe and a Magnaflow catback. Had I to do it over again, I would get everything the same except for the y-pipe, which I would have custom made.

Just my $0.02. From everything I've heard/read, Kook's headers are the best, I just chose to spend my money on other mods.

i am all for pacesetters. I love mine! And just a couple good things about them : 1) they are the best bang for the buck. 2) they are easiest to install. 3) with the money you save on them you have money left over for other mods!

I have Pacesetters. I like them alot. Not a bad price and you still gain alot. Mine have not discolored or anything. If you are on a budget, pacesetters. If you have alot of money, Kooks. My opinion.

Pretty much any header you get is going to help your performance, fittment might be an issue. I picked up a set of used macs (mid length)few years ago excelent for what they are. Plus the more money you save more mods that can be done!

Put the 1 7/8 kooks and lose a little down low to gain up top. If you ever put heads on the car and or any power adder you will be happy with the result for sure. If you plan on staying cam only then 1 3/4 or 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8. I am telling you, that you will not be dissaponted with the outcome.

A good point is, I know a guy here in Austin that just put Hookers on his car and they are hitting the k-member in two spots. I dont know if that is a known problem for hookers but that sucks for him!

2. Edelbrock (1-3/4" x 1-7/8" x 3-1/2" collector, mild steel)

Very good quality and fit but aren't expensive if you don't care about price then go wtih Kooks or QTP
