I had a Stage 2 B&M shift kit in my '95 TA and it kicked like a mule but most people are going with the Transgo kits. The Transgo kits allow you to do more things like set your shift points for the tranny and line pressure. The shift kits re-route fluids so it gives the tranny different shifting characteristics. The only thing I didn't like about my old kit was that what you put in is what you got and between 30-50 it didn't have any power, that's one of the pluses to being able to set how long you want the tranny to hold each gear. They're suppost to make the tranny last longer too by giving it smoother, faster shifts.
