Shorties killing 383? I just put in a Golen 383 440 hp longblock in my 95 Trans Am.
These are the specs on the heads and cam
LT1 castings, ported
440hp @ 6000rpm 460 lbs/ft @ 4100rpm
Duration:
Intake: 224@ .050
Exhaust: 230@ .050
Lift:
Intake: .540
Exhaust: .550
Lobe

I have RK Sport shorties from back when I had the 350 in there. Are these shorties hurting my power? What would be the gain if I switched to longtubes? Will it make that much difference?
I kinda ran out of money so I had to stay with the shorties that were already on there.
