Street Racing & Kill Stories - Turbo Mirage takes 500whp T/A last night

last night @ the car meet there was a mirage there with Eclipse Turbo motor in it running 23psi- anyways they raced for $50 from a 40 roll- the T/A has vortech s/c, exhaust, 38lbs injectors (hes getting bigger injectors he said) which means 500whp and 442ft.lbs- any who they where dead even to 90mph because THE MIRAGE WAS SPINNING THE TIRES :eek2: - then once he caught traction he walked the t/a 3 car length bye 125 and shut down-

guy doesnt know what kinda HP it puts down but that thing is pretty nasty- The kid in the T/A after that race said hes going home and ordering bigger injectors and upping the boost and wants a rematch-

just thought yall might like to hear- Some one said they got a video i will see if i can get a hold of them- i lost $10 i had mu money on the T/A...... :cry:

Guys...they don't weigh much at all and getting 400-500whp from a 4G63 motor is not difficult. Can be done with just bolt ons. So yeah...it's not very hard to believe it taking a 500whp TA.

Actually, the TA is 450rwhp, 390rwtq. The mirage passed the TA at 115 and pulled 3 cars. The TA is getting retuned on the 14th with the new injectors, as it's running really really lean up top. Steve said he was going to do some more work to the car (not more boost, think.. cam/heads or whatever), and try again.

Any info on what's done to the Mirage?

Does the T/A have forged internals? If not he might want to put that on the to-do list if he's gonna up the boost.
