Default 3.42's to 4.56's

I have a stock 2002 camaro ss and i have a few friends that have vettes and ss's that said the best thing for me to do is change my stock 3.42's to 4.56's and that'll get me movin if i can catch...what do yall think?

not in a stock 7.5 " rear...especially if you are M6. You are lookin' to break if you do.

u got some f-ed up friends. i would try 4.10's with dr's.

Theres not a whole lot of reason to put a set of gears in a 10 bolt. If you are running a stronger rear than that 4.56s will get you out of the hole quick. But you will probably be gear bound in the quarter. 1st and 2nd will probably be useless on the street. It will be hard to find traction even in a stock powered car.
