The problem is no one wants to guess at how long your rear will last. I've seen these rears crap out at 25k with a manual and a "spirited" driver behind the wheel. If you're dragging my guess is you won't make it too long before you start to have problems but I'm sure dozen's of folks will say "I've been dragging for 4 years and I'm still on the same rear". The fact that you have an M6 hurts as these are 10 bolt rear killers in my opinion.

FWIW A stock M6 LS1 can shred one of these 10 bolts, add mods and stickey tires (and some hard launches) and you're getting close to the death of another 10 bolt
It's almost impossible to predict when your rear will give up, some can have hundreds of launches with DRs, and no problem, others can launch with street tires and boom they're picking up their rear with a shovel, it's the luck of the draw, you play the game, you take your chances.
IMO I would no more launch on DRs with a stock 10 bolt than I'd wear a KKK uniform in the middle of Harlem

I would be safe and run street tires. The rear's on these cars are really pieces of crap. I already broke one just shifting into second with 315 street tires. Not even a launch just a hard shift.

On stock gearing I'm willing to be you will be ok. You'll notice that alot of people that snap their rears on stock like power usually have gears. A friend of mine was still on his stock rear w/500+ RWHP and launching hard. But as soon as gears went in, BAM.

eh, no reason to upgrade it until it snaps anyway, it's the same price before and after.
