Help me decide....Caliper color choice
I have a Pewter Formula. Ive narrowed it down to either black or red. My main theme with the car will be black and pewter, but red always looks good for brake calipers....I will eventually be putting some rims on the car, either Y2K or TT2. I havent decided yet...

Blah @ red. If your scheme has red, then by all means go with it. I just personally cant stand red calipers on pewter, black etc when the scheme doesnt have red in it.
I say go with black. It'll fade a bit, and wont really stand out like red or pewter but it'll work with your scheme

Hard work, but I think it pays off when you finally get done and step back and check it out.

Either or. Why do people bash on red so much? I does look good on the exotic cars and the high end brake kit packages. And yes, the red would "tie" in to the car given that the back lights are red in my opinion. If red didn't look good on the pewter cars, we'd all be VHT'ing the crap out of them.
It also depends on what you are tryin to go for. Subtle? Showy? I have my calipers painted red and it looked great with my stock rims. Now that I got Torq Thrust M's, for some reason they don't contrast too well. I think it would look better with polished or black calipers. So what I am tryin to say is: don't fret, it's easily changeable with a lil' elbow grease.
