Default engine idle, cause problems?

will having the engine idle for long periods of time hurt the car/engine? it gets cold at night sometimes, and if im just hanging out or listening to the radio, i leave the car idling. will doing this actually damage the car at all? also, are there any reports of carbon monoxide poisioning in f bodies at all from just idling? sounds kinda paranoid, but im just makin sure.

no theres no problem there, if its cold its better to let the engine keep warm then cool down and create condensation and have water in the oil b/c of condensation build up.

If you still have all of your emissions controls (especially the cats), and they're functioning properly, you probably could not even commit suicide by CO poisoning with our cars, they run that clean!!
