Default Who has replaced their steering rack?

I'm just curious about something. The replacement steering rack comes in two different models; firm ride and not. The firm rack calls for a RPO code of f41 and the other has none. Does anyone know if these two are interchangeable? Thanks.

The two I tried for my car didnt fit... 98 TA. I was told find someone to rebuild my current one, or go to the dealer.

I am pretty sure all LS1 racks (98+)interchange. LT1 rack (97-)would fit too, but its not as good as an LS1 rack; but it will bolt up. I put an LS1 rack on a V6, which comes with an LT1 rack factory (aside from y86). Only needed the LS1 coupler to do it. No problem. Maybe try TA creations.
