Seems like I ran across a black one either on Hurst's site or on ebay. Try searching Hurst's site.

Yeah, I've seen it at the local Pep Boys around here, but it was plastic.

I don't think the black plastic one comes with the right thread size. I have the one you have pictured and i love it, brings back memories of my 71 455 4 speed trans am that i had.

I have one, and love it. ..mine is 17 years old, and has been on 3 vehicles. smooth and the black inset paint is gone, but I especially like that you can grip it in the middle, or at either ends when taking it easy.. much better than just a ball.....looks cooler too !!!!!! [ don't think they come in black BTW. ]

Gotta have the classic "T". I like paying homage to the old school. Looks bad *** too.

You can always powdercoat the handle and mask off the areas you want to leave uncoated.

Thank God, someone else uses one of these! I thought I was the only one in the world. I thought it might be ghetto, but damn, I love the feel of it! Gonna keep it.

I like mine. I got it when I bought the car, and at first I didn't like it. Now I love em!
