Default Choice of cooler

I see most people use the B&M Supercooler Transmission Cooler, 24000 GVW, 11" x 6" x 1-1/2". Matter of fact its the only one I've found on a couple of different sponsor's sites.

I found a non-sponsor site that has a B&M Supercooler Transmission Cooler, 28000 GVW, 11" x 8" x 1-1/2". Is there a reason noone uses this cooler?

You could use that. The bigger the better.

Guess it all depends on how/where you plan on mounting it. A lot of guys are mounting theirs 'dope style' I personally didn't like this mounting style and custom mounted my cooler directly behind the lower opening under the DRL's in the PS front fascia to take advantage of full air flow directly into the cooler while moving.

My Mocal Oil Cooler is mounted in the same fashion on the DS.

While I did use the 24,000 gvw model in this location - I'm pretty sure that the model/size you are speaking of would also fit in the area I used...

I just noticed that the 28000 and the 24000 are both on Summit. And the 28000 is only $10 more expensive than the 24000. But the 28000 doesn't have all the mounting stuff the 24000 does. I guess I'll just be going with that unless someone knows where the exact same mounting and accessory kit as with the 24000. They have a mounting kit, but it doesn't have the hose and fittings like the kit with the 24000. I was thinking of just running braided lines and AN fittings to the trans and cooler completely replacing the stock system.

Bigger is better if you have the room. An A-4 needs all the cooling it can get.
