Gears & Axles - Am i taking a chance

Ok, I know this has been brought up a million times and i did a search and could not find the answer to it. My question is, if i do put 4:10 gear in my car with a stock 10 bolt...Will it shatter? I know hard launches will destroy it but if i go about normal driving am i safe? Oh yea, Will i see a huge difference with 4:10's?

You will prolly be fine w/ no track visits/ full on launches. It will definately be a noticable difference from the 3.42's.
