How big of a shot are you guys using on a stock bottom end LT1 ? I am thinking of doing 200 or a 175 fattened up. Feedback gang !!!!

I am stil leaning towards the 175. Fran that is right that LT1 will not die no matter how hard you try. I can't wait to see that 396 in there. But if you do blow it there is always the "Burban" or the ""Caddy". The Burban RULES !!!!!

I know of one that went north of 175...how far he wont say. on one of its last runs he sneezed it and bent four rods. still ran great!

There are a FEW b-bodies spraying up to 200hp single stage and one guy 280 over 2 stages the thing is to have enough heads and cam to flow it and keep it fueled. I have watched guys go from 175jets to 200 and gain nothing because the heads are just peaked out, the stock heads/cam guys will full boltons usually stop gaining past 150.

the car has ET heads and cc306. so i am thinking larger would be ok, but that is why I am asking.

i dont rev it high at all...... no higher than 6k at the most.... i usually shift at like 58-59....


and it hasnt hit 10's yet its goin 11.03 at 120 is my fastest.......with a 1.46 60 foot

yeah i may up the shot to like a 250 and it that holds go to a 300....... and i never drive it as it is..... and the burban is still holding it down... caddy is sold......
