Default What should I be expecting?

I've got the car running consistant 11.90's on motor. With a 150 shot I'm running 11.20-11.30. my 60' is a consistant 1.60 on MT radials.

Auto w/ a 3600 stall 3.73 gear, LT1 w/ NX maf set up
N/A 358HP/369TQ
N2O 463HP/535TQ

Realisticaly what kind of gains should I be seeing on the track?

I would venture to say somewhere in the 10.90-11.30 range depending on track and weather conditions. Hope this helps and good luck. Keep us posted.

Since you are only picking up 105rwhp on the 150hp setting, those gains sound about right. You might do some testing to find out why you're not picking up the 150hp that it should be.

Could be that the converter is not locking up.

I would like to know also. I'm going to the dyno April 29th. I ordered extra fuel jets to tune with. For each shot (100 and 150) I bought 2 jet sizes bigger and smaller for tuning purposes. I assume this is what is needed to tune the nitrous?????
Ricky or Jeremy????

30thz-The most simple thing to do is to perform a nitrous weight test. It will tell you if you are even flowing enough nitrous for the horsepower level you have the system set at. To do this just weight the bottle (preferably full and at the correct pressure), then activate the system for 10sec. (disconnect the nitrous and fuel lines from the nozzle so they don't spray into the engine). After the 10sec. weight the bottle again. For 150hp you should use 1.8lbs. in 10sec. The more accurate you can be with the weights and the 10sec. run, the better the results will be. If it doesn't use 1.8lb. then there is a flow restriction somewhere in the system that isn't allowing you to get the 150hp the you have it set for.

Like Big Geek said, it could be the converter too. The only way I've ever seen wether or not the converter is performing the way it should is on a chassis dyno. You can see on a dyno graph is the converter is not performing correctly. Other than that I don't know.

Also, if you have made passes at the track with the 100hp setting, then you could compare the timeslips and see if there is an improvement between the two. It could be that you are spinning that tires and that is slowing the E.T., but that shouldn't affect the dyno numbers (unless you are spinning the tires on the dyno, which does happen sometimes).

Z28-LT4 - That will help a lot in being able to adjust the nitrous-to-fuel ratio while on the dyno. Adjusting the nitrous-to-fuel ratio ultimately will adjust the a/f reading that the dyno will record. Normally when we are tuning a vehicle we try to get it to 12:1 Air/Fuel while spraying the car. However, try to tune it to whatever a/f you are comfortable with (some people are more comfortable with an a/f in the 11's).

Need to throw a big thanks out to Dave, Jeremy and Ricky, with all the tips and help. I just got back from the dyno at CAM. And with a little timing and fuel pressure adjustment we know have 501hp/580tq. I let ya all know how she does at the track this Saturday.

One more thing no more fuel spikes thanks to Dave stand alone.

Good to hear that you got it running good and that you are happy with it. Keep us posted on how it performs at the track.
